get to know melissa

I studied Design for Textiles for 4 years at Heriot Watt University specialising in Print. I graduated June 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Design for Textiles (Fashion, Interior, Art) with Honours of the First Class. Post graduating I was also selected to exhibit at New Designers London 2018 which was a great experience and privilege. I went to university to adopt and develop skills involving the Textile industry with the intentions of setting up a small home grown business when finishing and here it is !! Everybody welcome to Honey be Bright. My goal was to form a brand that was fun, creative and based locally in the Scottish Borders. I am extremely grateful for the help of my parents who both play a huge role within the running of the business. Have a little peek below at the Honey be Bright team.

the story behind our brand name

on a family holiday in Rhodes a lovely greek waiter brought little girl melissa a pot of honey for her breakfast every morning. he explained to her that her name in greek translation was in fact honey bee. years later honey be bright was formed by that not so little girl melissa nicole learmonth.
